Philippine celebrity Diether Ocampo is a very well-know actor and an actor that has been a second year physical therapy student at De La Salle University in Dasmarinas, Cavite. Philippine celebrity Diether Ocampo first move into show business was auditioning last 1995 for ABS-CBN's talent search. He became one of the members of Star Circle Batch 2 after a year and a half and was given his first movie appearance last 1997 in Calvento Files. He also dips into photography and even took up classical guitar lessons at the Yamaha School of Music. He started in show-business as a member of ABS CBN's circle of homegrown talents named Star Magic. Philippine actor Diether Ocampo holds the record of starring in eleven teleseryes, more than any other actor in Philippine television history.Philippine celebrity Diether Ocampo on the other side is also known as “Capt. Mongrel” with his band, “Blow”. Diether Ocampo’s band members are Kessenth "Col. Cabron " Cheng (lead guitars), Emil Buencamino (percussion), Jasper “Pepe” Ong (co-vocals), and Empi K. Martinez aka "Obi Wakantoti" (bass). The band has two albums to date, Nice & Hard (2003) and Rock Manila (2005). Presently he is also active in charity works through his K.I.D.S. (Kabataan Inyong Dapat Suportahan) (roughly: The Youth That You Need To Support) Foundation to help under privileged children of Metro Manila. He is also an animal rights supporter by being a spokesperson of the international group called the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals or P.E.T.A, and he is also one of the owners of a locally circulated magazine for men called UNO. With the latest news update, Philippine actor Ocampo reportedly transfered from ABS CBN to a rival network GMA and signed a 4-year contract. He will have his first project on GMA which is the Koreanovela remake of All About Eve. Then again news reports that actor Ocampo will remain as a Star Magic talent, but no verification if he will transfer to Kapuso network or remain as a Kapamilya. |
