Pacquiao and Bradley first fight was last June 2012 wherein Bradley won through a split decision. The fight was very controversial since fans, media and Bob Arum (promoter of both fighters) believe that Manny Pacquiao’s power and combination has beaten Bradley’s approach. For most of the people, Pacquiao won the fight to the point that WBO hired five independent judges to re-score their fight on video and all of them favored Manny Pacquiao.
According to Pacquiao, he wanted to maintain his name at the top and prove that he can still fight and his boxing career is not yet done. He also said that the reason for his loss on their first fight was that, he was not as motivated when he was training and he did not take Bradley seriously enough.
According to Bradley, he also wanted a rematch since he believes that he can win again this time that is clear enough for everybody to see. Bradley really felt that he won on the first fight. He said that it hurts him when people say ‘Hey, you didn’t win that fight man’. He said he wants to redeem what he didn’t get which is the credit and it is important for him to make the win decisive in the people’s eyes on their rematch this coming April 12, 2014. He said, he knows what to expect this time and this rematch will be much easier and he will make sure that he will sin this time.
After Bradley’s winning match with Pacquiao, he also watched Pacquiao’s fight with Juan Manuel Marquez and Brandon Rios. His comment was that Pacquiao still has all the skills sets however his killer instinct is gone.
