Manny Pacquiao Too Good For Jorge Solis

According to Justine Fortune, Australian trainer, Manny Pacquiao which is the WBC International super featherweight champion and Jorge Solis as the Mexican challenger are poles apart as far as boxing skill is concerned.

“Manny is a triple-A fighter, while Solis is just an ‘A’ fighter,” said Fortune, who is supervising the Filipino superstar’s training at the Wild Card Gym in the absence of two-time Trainer of the Year Freddie Roach.

“Manny will be just too fast and strong for Solis. “It’s as simple as that,” Fortune said.

Meanwhile, Pacquiao will be flying from Los Angeles to San Antonio, Texas on April 8, six days before his scheduled 12-rounder against Solis at the Alamodome.

“It’s confirmed, he’s flying to Texas on April 8,” said a source at the Wild Card Gym, who added that Pacquiao’s flight may have a stopover in Dallas.

Top Rank promoter Bob Arum has reportedly planned on bringing Pacquiao to one of the games of the San Antonio Spurs in Texas, to introduce him to the largely Mexican crowd.

After watching Pacquiao spar for 12 rounds, Fortune said the Filipino superstar is hitting peak form. According to Fortune, “Manny weighs 134 pounds right now and he’s about 80 percent prepared.”
